這首曲子是由馬文．漢立許（Marvin Hamlisch）作曲，Marilyn Bergman和 Alan Bergman填詞，旋律本身優美動聽，歌詞意境深遠，就算你沒看過電影，光聽詞曲也足夠動心，但是只有看過電影，你才會明白何以能夠成為盪氣迴腸的傳世情歌，問世卅五年後依舊緊叩人心─關鍵在於化學效應。
